WASHINGTON, D.C. — The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) announced that Norton will testify today at a House hearing on her bill to remove the Albert Pike statue from federal land in the District of Columbia and released her testimony. “General Albert Pike was probably the worst of the memorialized Confederates,” Norton said. “He slaughtered Union troops, a war crime, stole funds and was captured by his own troops. And all the arguments about the possibilities of intelligent life existing on other celestial bodies have been confined to the idea that other civilizations must necessarily live on the surface of a planet, and that the interior as a habitat is out of the question.Abandoning the traditional paths of "common sense", we have plunged into what may at first sight seem to be unbridled and irresponsible fantasy. But the more minutely we go into all the information gathered by man about the Moon, the more we are convinced that there is not a single fact to rule out our supposition. Not only that, but many things so far considered to be lunar enigmas are explainable in the light of this new hypothesis. AN ARTIFICIAL SPUTNIK OF THE EARTH? The origin of the Moon is one of the most complicated problems of cosmogony. So far there have been basically three hypotheses under discussion. HYPOTHESIS I: The Moon was once a part of the Earth and broke away from it. This has now been refuted by the evidence. HYPOTHESIS II: The Moon was formed independently from the same cloud of dust and gas as the Earth, and immediately became the Earth's natural satellite.But then why is there such a big difference between the specific gravity of the Moon (3.33 grams per cubic centimeter) and that of the Earth (5.5 gr.)? Furthermore, according to the latest information (analysis of samples brought back by the U.S. Apollo astronauts) lunar rock is not of the same composition as the Earth's. HYPOTHESIS III: The Moon came into being separately, and, moreover, far from the Earth (perhaps even outside the Solar system). This would mean that the moon would not have to be fashioned from the same "clay" as our own planet. Sailing through the Universe, the Moon came into Earth's proximity, and by a complex interplay of forces of gravity was brought within a geocentric orbit, very close to circular. But a catch of this kind is virtually impossible. In fact, scientists studying the origin of the Universe today have no acceptable theory to explain how the Earth-Moon system came into being. OUR HYPOTHESIS: The Moon is an artificial Earth satellite put into orbit around the Earth by some intelligent beings unknown to ourselves. We refuse to engage in speculation about who exactly staged this unique experiment, which only a highly developed civilization was capable of. A NOAH'S ARK? If you are going to launch an artificial sputnik, then it is advisable to make it hollow. At the same time it would be naive to imagine that anyone capable of such a tremendous space project would be satisfied simply with some kind of giant empty trunk hurled into a near-Earth trajectory. It is more likely that what we have here is a very ancient spaceship, the interior of which was filled with fuel for the engines, materials and appliances for repair work, navigation, instruments, observation equipment and all manner of machinery... In other words, everything necessary to enable this "caravelle of the Universe" to serve as a kind of Noah's Ark of intelligence, perhaps even as the home of a whole civilization envisaging a prolonged (thousands of millions of years) existence and long wanderings through space (thousands of millions of miles). Naturally, the hull of such a spaceship must be super-tough in order to stand up to the blows of meteorites and sharp fluctuations between extreme heat and extreme cold. Probably the shell is a double-layered affair--the basis a dense armoring of about 20 miles in thickness, and outside it some kind of more loosely packed covering (a thinner layer- -averaging about three miles). In certain areas--where the lunar "seas" and "craters" are, the upper layer is quite thin, in some cases, non-existent. Since the Moon's diameter is 2,162 miles, then looked at from our point of view it is a thin- walled sphere. And, understandably, not an empty one. There could be all kinds of materials and equipment on its inner surface. But the greatest proportion of the lunar mass is concentrated in the central part of the sphere, in its core, which has a diameter of 2,062 miles. Thus the distance between the kernel and the shell of this nut is in the region of 30 miles. This space was doubtless filled with gases required for breathing, and for technological and other purposes. With such an internal structure the Moon could have an average specific gravity if 3.3 grams per cubic centimeter, which differs considerably from that of Earth (5.5 grams per cubic centimeter). A BATTLESHIP THEY COULDN'T TORPEDO?The most numerous and interesting of the formations on the lunar surface are the craters. In diameter they vary considerably. Some are less that a yard across, while others are more than 120 miles (the biggest has a diameter of 148 miles). How does the Moon come to be so pockmarked? There are two hypothesis - volcanic and meteoric. Most scientists vote for the latter. Kirill Stanyukovich, a Soviet physicist, has written a whole series of works since 1937 in which he expounds the idea that the craters are the result of bombardment of the Moon for millions of years. And he really means bombardment, for even the smallest celestial body, when it is involved in one of those fastest head-on collisions so common in the cosmos behaves itself like a warhead charged with dynamite, or even an atomic warhead at times. Instant combustion takes place on impact, turning it into a dense cloud of incandescent gas, into plasma, and there is a very definite explosion. According to Professor Stanyukovich, a "missile" of a sizable character (say 6 miles in diameter) must, on collision with the Moon, penetrate to a depth equal to 4 or 5 times its own diameter (24-30 miles). The surprising thing is that however big the meteorites may have been which have fallen on the Moon (some have been more than 60 miles in diameter), and however fast they must have been travelling (in some cases the combined speed was as much as 38 miles per second), the craters they have left behind are for some odd reason all about the same depth, 1.2-2 miles, although they vary tremendously in diameter. Take that 148-mile diameter crater. In area it outdoes Hiroshima hundreds of times over. What a powerful explosion it must have been to send millions of tons of lunar rock fountaining over tens of miles! On the face of it, one would expect to find a very deep crater here, but nothing of the sort: there is three miles at the most between top and bottom levels, and one third of that is accounted for by the wall of rock thrown up around the crater like a toothed crown. For such a big hole, it is too shallow. Furthermore, the bottom of the crater is convex, following the curve of the lunar surface. If you were to stand in the middle of the crater you would not even be able to see the soaring edge-- it would be beyond the horizon. A hollow that is more like a hill is a rather strange affair, perhaps. Not really, if one assumes that when the meteorite strikes the outer covering of the moon, this plays the role of a buffer and the foreign body finds itself up against an impenetrable spherical barrier. Only slightly denting the 20-mile layer of armour plating, the explosion flings bits of its "coating" far and wide. Bearing in mind that the Moon's defense coating is, according to our calculations, 2.5 miles thick, one sees that this is approximately the maximum depth of the craters. A SPACESHIP COME TO GRIEF?Now let us consider the chemical peculiarities of the lunar rock. Upon analysis, American scientists have found chromium, titanium and zirconium in it. These are all metals with refractory, mechanically strong and anti-corrosive properties. A combination of them all would have enviable resistance to heat and the ability to stand up to means of aggression, and could be used on Earth for linings for electrical furnaces. If a material had to be devised to protect a giant artificial satellite from the unfavorable effects of temperature, from cosmic radiation and meteorite bombardment, the experts would probably have hit on precisely these metals. In that case it is not clear why lunar rock is such an extraordinarily poor heat conductor - a factor which so amazed the astronauts? Wasn't that what the designers of the super-sputnik of the Earth were after? From the engineers point of view, this spaceship of ages long past which we call the Moon is superbly constructed. There may be a good reason for its extreme longevity. It is even possible that it predates our own planet. At any rate, some pieces of lunar rock have proved older than the oldest on Earth, although it is true, this applies to the age of the materials and not of the structure for which they were used. And from the number of craters on its surface, the Moon itself is no chicken. It is, of course, difficult to say when it began to shine in the sky above the Earth, but on the basis of some preliminary estimates one might hazard a guess that it was around two thousand million years ago. We do not, of course, imagine that the moon is still inhabited, and probably many of its automatic devices have stopped working, too. The stabilizers have ceased functioning and the poles have shifted. Even though the moon keeps that same side turned towards us, for some time it has been unsteady on its own axis, on occasion showing us part of its reverse side which were once invisible to observers on the Earth - for example, the Selenites themselves if they made expeditions here. Time has taken its toll. Both body and rigging have disintegrated to some extent; some seams on the inner shell evidently diverged. We assume that the long (up to 940 miles) chains of small craters formerly ascribed to volcanic activity were brought about by eruptions of gas through cracks appearing in the armour plating as a result of accidents. No doubt one of the most splendid features of the lunarscape - a straight "wall" nearly 500 yards high and over 60 miles long - formed as a result of one of the armor plates bending under the impact of celestial torpedoes and raising one of its straight, even edges. The Moon's population presumably took the necessary steps to remedy the effects of meteorite bombardment, for example, patching up rents in the outer shield covering the inner shell. For such purposes a substance from the lunar core was probably used, a kind a cement being made from it. After processing this would be piped to the surface sites where it was required. Not long ago astronomers discovered variations in the gravitational fields near the large "seas". We believe the reason to be this: the Moon's dry seas are in fact areas from which the protective coating was torn from the armor cladding. To make good the damage to these vast tracts, the installation producing the repair substance would have had to be brought immediately beneath the site so that it could flood the area with its "cement". The resulting flat stretches are what look like seas to the terrestrial observer. The stocks of materials and machinery for doing this are no doubt still where they were, and are sufficiently massive to give rise to these gravitational anomalies. What is the Moon today? Is it a colossal necropolis, a "city of the dead," where some form of life became extinct? Is it a kind cosmic Flying Dutchman? A craft abandoned by its crew and controlled automatically? We do not know and we shall not try to guess. WAITING FOR THE EVIDENCE We have put forward in this article only a few of the reasons - unfortunately the evidence is so far only circumstantial - for our hypothesis, which at first glance may appear to be crazy. A similar "crazy" idea was put forward in 1959 by Professor Iosif Shklovsky, an eminent scientist, in relation to the "moons" circling around Mars. After carefully weighing up the evidence he concludes that they are both hollow and therefore artificial satellites. We feel that the questions we have raised in connection with our Moon provide sufficient food for serious thought on the matter; the result may be the illumination of our many lunar riddles. Now, of course, we have to wait for direct evidence to support our idea. Or refute it... Probably there will not be long to wait.

Notes from a talk given, Thursday night, March 17, by Acharya David Schneider: The Rigden This word is being used more in our literature, liturgies and iconography. Cannot understand, not accessible to divided, conceptual mind – “Rigden don’t live there.” To talk about it, it is necessary to relax your mind. Loosen your grip on your version of reality…will come closer to actual reality…this is more like poetry than anthropology. “rig” means ‘clan’ or ‘lineage.’ “den” means ‘having,’ ‘holding,’ ‘possessing.’ Together it means: “the holders of the family lineage or clan.” David begins telling a story: The Kings of Shambhala: The first King of Shambhala – Suchandra (Tibetan = Dazampa, “good moon.”) The historical Buddha, Shakyamuni, taught the king of Shambhala, Suchandra, and initiated him – “monks out!” the Buddha said. This was a teaching for lay-people. This teaching was the Kalachakra Tantra – the pinnacle of the Vajrayana – there is no higher tantra. Suchandra took the tantra teaching back with him to his kingdom (Shambhala) and made it the state religion there. This is responsible for why we cannot see Shambhala anymore. Some say it ascended entirely, some say it’s still there. [The synchronicity between the term Sanskrit term Rigden and the Mormon name Rigden, the parallel ideas of Shambhala, Zion, and the City of Enoch, and the similarities between termas, tertons, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon are phenomenal and serendipitous, to say the least.] This is not the only religion in Shambhala [Again a very familiar Mormon idea in terms of the future Zion utopia and freedom of religion, conscience, and expression.] Seven kings later there was strife. Some didn’t want to do it anymore and bailed. It wasn’t easy to leave. The seventh King was Manjushri Yashas. He used magical persuasion and brought them back. He was called the first Rigden because he held the clan through commitment and dedication? devotion? to teachings. Before this kings were referred to as “Dharma Raja”. After that, “Rigdens.” There were 7 Dharma Rajas and 25 Rigdens. We are under the reign of the 21st or 22nd Rigden. There is a prophecy that during the reign of the 25th, things get so bad that they come out of Shambhala and “clean things up”! They pay close attention to the human realm and are very affected by it and care very deeply. The Rigden during WWII died of a broken heart! Trungpa Rinpoche talks about the Rigden fathers. There’s another meaning before that level (the kings above). The before level is the basis of Shambhala, together the whole lineage An absolute or ultimate level. A chant – the homage He who is neither beginning or end. Possesses confidence beyond words. I pay homage to the Rigden King…. [[[Wikipedia:sounds|sounds]] like Melchizedek] Part of the standard liturgy now…. “May the goodness of the Rigden King be present.” This Rigden king is not one exactly, it’s a “Rigden principle,” or absolute or primordial Rigden. An absolute level of being indivisible from the relative way of being. We’re so busy with relative that we forget – can’t feel the absolute way of being – the basis of Shambhala, where we came from. What is it that has no beginning or ending in Tibetan [no he?] referring to a level of being/mind before thought/concept. It’s happening all the time – in between thoughts “gap out.” The Rigdens are the inhabitants of the Cosmic Mirror. Before concept, primordial mind, what’s there when you let go of thoughts. It’s not possible to stop thinking – it is possible to notice thoughts and gaps between thoughts. It’s a source of character development to let go of thoughts – that’s relaxing. You can let go of any thoughts. There’s a space like an “ah” or other seed syllables. There’s an unbounded, limitless space out of which things spring all the time. This is the abode of the Rigden. This space is rich and pregnant and fertile, possessing the glory of the tiger, lion, garuda, dragon, “the five dignities.” It’s glorious with specific colors, qualitites, and power. Applicable in daily life. There is no shortcut to glory. Rigden is in charge. You have to go through him to get the glory. Spacious Open Unbounded Glorious Colored Powerful And confidence beyond words – doesn’t need anything – it’s basic goodness – it’s before any reason to be good. David tells a wonderful story about his 2 ½ year-old daughter. She asks “why” about everything. So he decided to turn the tables on her and asks her “why” about everything. Her answer to “why” (she’s German) is “just so.” Letting it in: it’s right there outside the door - glorious power, wisdom, fireworks, ice cubes, everything – whatever you want. We can’t lose it but we can ignore it. Rigden is about opening up to that – relaxing. That’s the absolute, somewhat un-manifest level. Q: Why would you address it, give it a name or rank it like a king? A: In ‘relative’ you could say ‘Queen,” in absolute you’d say ‘ruler.’ It’s this space that’s giving rise to everything in our life. It’s your ruler principle, it allows you to rule. Who’s the boss? In sitting meditation you are the boss. Manifest – kings or rulers of Shambhala. A tip or insight into visualization Q: Does the Rigden exist? A: The Rigden principle is like a strong emotion that exists in you, like hate. It has color and is so strong could be made into sculpture. You could kick it or worship it, sometimes our emotions are that tangible. You might see Rigden as a person that emanates for your own conviction. On the one hand they don’t exist, on the other hand they do. Rulership – ruling your own life. Sakyong = “earth protector,” like Rigden, but an earthly manifestation. One who has trained in these techniques of relaxing and opening. It comes down to embodying that, becoming Rigdens. The primary way of our training, meditation. Not the only way but extremely helpful. Slowed down. Sit. Can begin to notice gaps and power of the mind even when nothing is happening. Other techniques, opening to your sense perceptions and regarding them as sacred. Entrance into the Rigden principle. Something strange happened in the Falcon Lake wilderness 54-years ago, when Canada’s most-well documented Unidentified Flying Object incident was reported. On the afternoon of May 20, 1967, mechanic and former military policeman Stephen Michalak was searching for a quartz vein as an amateur prospector in the Whiteshell Provincial Park near Falcon lake, MB, when he was startled by agitated geese nearby. Michalak then allegedly saw two unidentified flying objects in the sky – one of which he said touched down about 45 metres away. Mind Control in Connecticut: Catcher in the Rye In 1942, at the start of World War II, the Jesuit order opened Fairfield University in southern Connecticut. The new Catholic college was erected on the country estate of Brewster Jennings, then chairman of the Socony Mobil Oil Company, which after a series of mergers became ExxonMobil. After serving as a naval officer in World War I, the Hartford-born oil executive graduated from Yale and became closely associated with the OSS and CIA. He founded the Avalon Foundation, since renamed the Mellon Foundation, which has funded pacification programs inside American society. (Outed spy Valerie Plame worked under cover at the Brewster Jennings “brass plate” company, which acted as the CIA’s counter-proliferation department.) Although the information remains classified, it had to be OSS chief Bill Donovan who prompted the formation of Fairfield University as an intelligence training center for potential CIA recruits vetted from the elite preparatory schools in Connecticut. During the war in Europe, a noncommissioned office of Russian Jewish descent assigned to U.S. Defense Intelligence worked on Operation Paperclip (the transport of Nazi scientists to U.S. laboratories) and Project Artichoke (smuggling German Jews into Palestine in support of a Zionist state). His name was J.D. “Jerry” Salinger. Later, he served in the Counter-Intelligence Corps, debriefing and reassigning Nazi officers, including those who had conducted psychiatric experiments on prisoners of war. At war’s end, Salinger lived in Tarrytown, New York, but was soon ordered to move across the state border to Stamford, Connecticut, close to Fairfield University. He resided in a converted barn, out of public view, presumably to continue his special area of intelligence work, the field testing of the MK-ULTRA methods refined by the sadistically clinical Dr. Sidney Gottlieb (the pseudonym of Joseph Schieder), who ran the main mind-control lab at Jesuit-run Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., which is also a finishing school for diplomats in the State Department. In the Connecticut countryside during his “lost years”, Salinger penned “The Catcher in the Rye”, which contains the command code-words for MK-ULTRA assassins. The protagonist Holden Caulfield is a study of a paranoiac passive-aggressive character, whose favorite expression is: “You’re killing me.” CIA Partners with Organized Crime in New England Around 1950, while Salinger was in Stamford, the CIA recruited a South Boston convict nicknamed “Whitey” Bulger to supply young runaways for mind-control experiments under the fast-expanding MK-ULTRA programs being set up at 44 universities across the United States. The centers for the New England drug experiments were probably the Whiting Forensic Facility at the Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middleford, Connecticut, and Bridgewater Hospital in Massachusetts, the region’s psychiatric facilities for the criminally insane. With CIA backing, Bulger built up his Winter Hill Gang, composed mainly of Irishmen, who strong-armed their way to control over the Boston’s gambling scene and drug trafficking. While little is known about the political activities of the Bulger gang, its rise to crime dominance coincided with the expansion of weapons smuggling into Northern Ireland in support of the IRA. A parallel cross-Atlantic traffic in drugs (and illegal immigration in the reverse direction) began at the same time. The predominantly Irish political machine of Boston from the Prohibition Era smuggling tycoon Joseph Kennedy Sr, to House Majority Leader Tip O’Neill gave their blessings to the flourishing organized crime network and voiced support for the patriotic IRA “freedom fighters,” who returned the favor to Washington with murderous attacks on American-loathing British figures such as Lord Montbatten. Connecticut, under control of the Patriciarca crime family, was off-limits to Bulger. The day-to-day operations of the Sicilian immigrants were run by Bill Grasso, head of the clan that later produced Connecticut’s first female governor. Starting in the 1980s, the DOJ, FBI and CIA launched an all-out war against the Patriciarca mob in order to install their puppet Whitey Bulger as crime boss of New England. FBI agent John Connelly took credit for infiltrating and busting up the Patriarca clan, but later he was exposed as a mole for Bulger. By the early 1990s, Bulger set up his Jai Alai Associates, a betting syndicate based in Connecticut and Florida. Finally, all of New England was safe for CIA smuggling, support for terrorism, money-laundering and mind-control operations. In 2011, Bulger made headlines with his arrest in Malibu, California, where he had lived for more than a decade “undetected” despite being on the FBI “most wanted” list - on a long vacation thanks to his relationship with the CIA. If there was one point of irritation, however, between the Irish mobster and his controllers, it was his opposition to drug use by teenagers. After seeing first-hand how MK-ULTRA had destroyed the minds of his young recruits, Bulger ordered his gang members never to sell drugs to teenagers. Even a ruthless mobster has more decency that the self-styled “patriots” who run the intelligence services. Child Porn Hub for New York and Washington Whatever its genteel image of colonial homes and autumnal foliage, Connecticut has a sleazy underside embedded in its servant pool, welfare households and the chronic unemployed. Bridgeport, with its low-income Puerto Rican population, is a major center for prostitution and recruitment of prostitutes for VIP clients in New York and the nation’s capital. The pedophile rings have a social-economic hierarchy at the top are the VIP clients, then the intermediaries, often Catholic priests or social-services managers, further down the ladder the operatives losers recruited from prep schools and college campuses - and finally the supply itself - money-hungry willing parents and the unwillingly abducted children. Newtown, like Fairfield and Stamford, is part of the Diocese of Bridgeport, which got into legal trouble in 2001 due to lawsuits by 23 victims of pedophilia committed by priests. Bishop Edward Egan, then diocese head, was a protector of sexual offender priests, sending them to other areas when parental complaints reached the ears of the police. After the plaintiffs won an out-of-court settlement, the Diocese petitioned the US Supreme Court to quash the thousands of documents detailing the beastly sex crimes. In 2009 Opus Dei honcho Justice Antonin Scalia determined that the court records should not be made public. In this past year’s pedophile scandal at Penn State, another Opus Dei leader, former FBI director Louis Freeh, was hired as a consultant by the Nittany Lions football team. His whitewash report put most of the blame on head coach Joe Paterno, while suppressing the names and backgrounds of the wealthy and powerful boosters who were provided sexual services from the young football players. In Connecticut, the Vatican had an interest in wiping the slate clean, and so did the CIA. The clean slate turned out to be a bloody mess. Agency-Spawned Pedophiles The MK-ULTRA program that reached into campuses across Connecticut quickly created a human garbage heap of wrecked minds and twisted souls. The child abuse and drugs routinely administered to young trainees led to a permanent social fixture of sadism and sexual abuse throughout New England from the gutter up to the governing class. In 2011, a Newtown resident named Edwin Wilson was arrested for having a months-long sexual relationship with a 4-year-old girl and producing child-porn videos of their sexual encounters. The arrest was a part of a wide crackdown order the state attorney general, Richard Blumenthal which boosted his successful campaign in the U.S. Senate race. Other cases included: a 24-year-old Hispanic male in Hartford who shot videos of sex with a pre-teen girl; a DJ in Plainfield arraigned on similar charges, an older theater and film teacher accused of using Taft school’s equipment to make kiddie porn the list goes on in sickening detail. Fairfield University, where MK-ULTRA was implanted into New England, recently saw two staffers implicated in the rape of 23 Haitian boys during the earthquake relief effort. Adam Lanza fits the profile of a pedophile-ring recruit young enough to approach children at the local schools and in the churches, possessing the computer skills to produce child-porn videos and typically passive-aggressive in personality. The Lanzas attended the Saint Rosa of Lima Church, where eight child parishioners were among the shooting victims. Santa Rosa is the very same order that sponsors the western-state hospital that employed Michael Jackson’s physician Dr. Conrad Murray. As in the case of Jackson’s Neverland, after a child-sex experiment blossoms, it must be shut down. The Lone Gun-Boy Theory Nancy Lanza kept an arsenal of firearms, and ordered her son to be constantly under watch by older boys. She must have had good reason for being armed to the teeth. Judging from her hoard of rifles and hand guns, she was expecting an all-out assault from a coven of pedophiles, not an attack by a single shooter. The lone gun-boy theory is sheer nonsense her son may have been an accomplice in giving the assailants access to his home but ended up murdered as a patsy. The coven is larger and more powerful than Mrs. Lanza could ever have imagined. Sexual violation is the key to creating intelligence agents and assassins who are impervious to reason and mercy, lacking any original thoughts or moral qualms. Plus a supply of children is needed in Congress and the White House to entertain the satraps and moguls from Colombian drug lords to Israeli weapons dealers and French money launderers, not to mention America’s own homegrown pervs. The Motive: Payback for a Double-Cross If the culprits had been Adam Lanza and his pals, then their response to grounding would have been something like posting photos and address of naked children. The method of the shooting point-blank execution-style gun shots indicate that the assailants were professional hit men, probably allied with the Winter Hill Gang. The Sandy Hook assault happened probably because of a split between competing institutions and diverging policies. On one hand, the gangland figures who cooperated with CIA mind-control program that promoted child-sex as a means of ensuring obedience and secrecy were being challenged by politicians playing up parental demands to clean up the scandalous child-sex problem in Connecticut. The dirty FBI agent John Connelly was more of a double agent and go-between for the Feds and not simply a Winter Hill mole as portraying at his sentencing. The arrest of Whitey Bulger was a pure-and-simple double-cross by the FBI and CIA, who had used him as an ally in MK-ULTRA and informant for more than a half-century. In his ambitious drive to win a U.S. senatorial seat, state attorney general and now Senator Blumenthal broke the basic rules of mob cooperation. And now that has led to a war on the streets and in the schools. Unlike the Sicilian crime families who went down easy, the fighting Irish criminals can be counted on to put up a street battle with the same flair as in the movie “The Gangs of New York.” The gangsters have no shortage of allies in the pimps, drug dealers, pedophiles, punks and deranged freaks who have been caught up in the sudden dragnet. The police are outnumbered and easily outgunned. It’s happened before, as in Fort Apache in the South Bronx. Sandy Hook is just the first installment of a payback. If the Feds push any harder, then Bridgeport and Boston will soon be looking like Belfast during the troubles or Beirut in the bad old days. Stop Drugging the Kids The mass media is under pressure to cover up the incident with sympathetic blather instead of a sustained probe. Forensic evidence is being literally buried. America is moving on where to, nobody knows. The politicians and cops are now silent and glum. Relying on arrests and wiretapping, they have forgotten that the fight against crime begins with addressing social justice, economic fairness and education and in some unfortunate cases, psychiatric care. Was a Senate seat worth the lives of all those children and teachers? Blumenthal, who paints himself as a clone of the erstwhile New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, will have to live with that question for the remainder of his life. Is the CIA satisfied that its mind-control techniques that have created hordes of homicidal monsters from Iraq to Libya and now Connecticut? The lesson of Sandy Hook is that mind-control cannot itself be controlled. Programmed killers are like robots without power-off switches. The process of transforming innocent children into robots through sexual abuse is inhumane and a crime. Whatever MK-ULTRA is called today - since we know it still exists after seeing the Abu Ghraib Prison photos - it must be shut down forever or the murderous nightmare will go on and on. And mind-altering drugs are not just for sinister purposes, since at least 60 percent of U.S. children are on a pharmaceutical dosages long before they can learn how to think. Even parents act as mind-controllers against their own kids. Now, with the investigation terminated, comes the diversionary exercise of “gun control”, a national effort led by Joe Biden, a member of the Knights of Malta, a politician with an intelligence background who is sworn to protect the interests of the Vatican. Say it ain't so, Joe. Leave intact the right of armed self-defense or the gangsters will take over everything, but get rid of the drugs and end the mind control and America will be a safer place, especially for its children. The Pole at last!!! The prize of three centuries, my dream and ambition for 23 years, Mine at last.... - Robert Peary, 1909 Robert Peary can easily be categorized as one of America's most courageous explorers of all time. Peary and loyal assistant, Mathew Henson, set a standard for numerous other adventurous pioneers to push the boundaries of world exploration. On April 6, 1909, Peary and crew became the first men in history to reach the North Pole. In the beginning Robert Edwin Peary was born in Cresson, Pennsylvania, on May 6, 1856. He was an only child. Robert's father passed away shortly after the family had moved to southern Maine, which left only his mother to rear him. After graduating from Portland High School in 1877, Peary pursued civil engineering at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. While at college, Robert rowed for his class crew, became a member of both Delta Kappa Epsilon and Phi Beta Kappa fraternities, dabbled in taxidermy, and researched various outdoor survival techniques. After graduating from college, Robert surveyed the little town of Fryeburg as its new civil engineer. Work as a Fryeburg public servant was a respectable career, but Peary missed that "spark" that small town life could not offer. In 1879, he moved to Washington, D.C., to take a job working for the Coast and Geodetic Survey. In 1881, he endeavored to find that missing spark of adventure by becoming a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineers Corps. Peary's first assignment in the Navy was to work on the Inter-Oceanic Ship Canal Project. Those orders would eventually prove successful in exploring Nicaragua's interior, but the plans for building a canal across that country were never realized. Meeting Henson Prior to departing for Nicaragua, Peary met an African-American store clerk in Washington, D.C., by the name of Mathew Henson. Peary and Henson found that they shared the same passion for exploration, which landed Henson a job on the expedition in Nicaragua. The two pioneers established a loyal friendship that would undergird their enthusiasm for perilous and uncharted expeditions. Mathew Henson accompanied Peary on every expedition from then on. Cold country In 1886, Peary and Henson conducted their first expedition to the interior of Greenland. On the trek to the middle reaches of that frigid land, Henson did his homework. He interacted with the native Inuit people, while learning about dog sledding, hunting, fur clothing, and building an ice shelter. Although Peary tended to ignore those native arts at first, he eventually recognized their importance and began to master the art of native living. Marrying Josephine In 1888, Peary married the daughter of a linguist, Josephine Diebitch, at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. By June 1891, Josephine set sail for northern Greenland with Peary and his small expeditionary crew aboard the Kite. While wintering in McCormick Bay (halfway between the Artic Circle and the North Pole), Josephine expressed her fondness for the expedition by beginning a daily diary, which she later had published as My Arctic Journal. Diebitch's book portrays the crew's struggles and advances during Arctic conditions in a kind of "beautiful light," contrary to cynical newspaper critics who depicted northern lands as dark and desolate. Diebitch made two trips two McCormick Bay with Peary and his crew. Peary made numerous trips to Greenland throughout the 1890s. His exploration during that decade revealed that Greenland was actually an island, and established that the best route from America to the North Pole was by way of Ellesmere Island, instead of navigating through Greenland waters. Furthermore, Peary became credited with discovering three huge chunks of iron meteorite while visiting Cape York, Greenland. Reaching for the pole In 1898, Peary and crew set sail aboard the Winward for a four-year expedition to reach the North Pole. Although the crew had traveled farther north than anyone had ever been, they turned back 390 miles short of reaching the farthest northern reaches possible. With a Peary-Henson die-hard attitude, the crew made another attempt for the pole in 1905 aboard the Roosevelt. Although the newly built Roosevelt was constructed to withstand masses of shifting ice, the crew fell 200 miles short of reaching their destination. Victory in the North Although Peary's numerous expeditions set small milestones in Arctic exploration, it just was not enough for a man who had dedicated 26 years of his life towards reaching one goal, the Pole. On July 6, 1908, Peary and his crew of 23 set sail over ice from Canada's Ellesmere Island aboard the Roosevelt for a land that has no east or west. In the spring of 1909, Peary, Henson, Robert Bartlett, Donald B. MacMillan, and 19 other men left the ship to attempt the remaining journey with 133 dogs and 19 sleds. Peary, Henson, and four Inuit men, Oatah, Egingwah, Seegloo, and Ookeah, eventually became the only six men still heading north as they attempted their last leg of the journey. On April 6, 1909, after losing a total of eight toes in a dozen years of Arctic conditions, Robert Peary finally made peace with God by placing the American flag at the Earth's northernmost point. Peary's return home American explorer Frederick Cook, who had served as the ship doctor on one of Peary's earlier Arctic journeys, claimed to have reached the North Pole a year prior to Peary. The claim initially stripped Peary of his glory, until two Inuit men, who had been on Cook's expedition, revealed that the photographic evidence was not actually far enough north. In fact, Cook was about 100 miles short of Peary's final destination. Following a Congressional inquiry in 1911, Peary once again was declared the first man to reach the North Pole, while the fraudulent Cook ended up serving seven years in prison for other lies involving a 1923 oil-well swindle. Shortly after the inquiry, Peary retired from the Navy (1911) with the rank of rear admiral, when he went on to spend most of his time writing three books about his explorations.
