The best thing to do is to consult masonic authorities on the subject. In the book 'Be wise as serpents', Fritz Springmeier have listed 21 references from Masonry's best authorities written to masons telling them that masonry is a religion including Albert Mackey, Henry Wilson Coil, Albert Pike, Joseph Fort Newton and J.S.M. Ward. It is an organization that has temples, priests, rituals, offers salvation, teaches morality, and worship an invented great architect of the universe (GAOTU). It is evidently a religion that doesn't say its name. Freemasonry was officially created on 24 June 1717 by 7 English gnostic rosicrucians. It never had anything to do with 'Operative Masonry' or the 'Builders' Guild', according to the leading reference Albert Pike (33°): 'Pure gnosticism is the soul and marrow of freemasonry' (Gnosticism is cabalistic Christianity) and freemasonry is the 'Ancient mystery religion of Babylon and Egypt'. Masonry itself claims to perpetuate the ancient mysteries of Isis and Osiris, Tammuz and Baal which are sun religions that ultimately are derived from a single common origin. According to Alexander Hislop in the book 'The Two Babylons', Nimrod and Semiramis created a polytheistic religious system focused on the stars to lure God’s chosen people away from true worship. Shortly after Nimrod died, Semiramis earned the title Queen of Heaven (Similar to today' virgin Mary), she claimed that Nimrod was a god and that her newborn son was Nimrod, reincarnate. So began the worship of Semiramis and the child-god Tammuz, and the whole Babylonian religious system which have been copied many time. Nimrod was an evil self-absorbed tyrant, Semiramis his wife was wicked and heavy into witchcraft. There are many archeological artifacts which illustrate that Nimrod was involved with the introduction of many evil pagan worship practices and pagan doctrines. Babylon historically is associated with dark occult arts and black magic, demonic worship and pagan idolatry, sexual immorality, the world money system, and the persecution of God’s people. The fake religion they created was a form of satanism involving child sacrifices and other abominations made to please demonic forces and damn the souls of those that practice it. Freemasons and rosicrucians are proud of their historical roots : Masons use the "Grip of the Lions Paw" which come directly from the old pagan religion Mithraism, the pyramid and winged-sun-disk symbols comes from the Egyptian religion, the sun refer to the old sun worship religion etc. All of those pagan religions were variations of satanism. However when you lift the veil (Of Isis) and look at its true origins, there is really nothing noble about it as it all originate from the satanic religion created by Nimrod & Semiramis. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Contradictions with the Bible There exist plenty of reasons why a true Christian cannot be a mason as freemasonry reject many teachings of the Bible. The following is a non-exhaustive list of many contradictions freemasonry has with the Bible. Idolatry Masonry perpetuates the worship of the 'Great architect of the universe' (GAOTU). Freemasonry invites people of all faiths, even if they use different names for the "Nameless One of a hundred names" they are praying to GAOTU. Masons recognize a "Supreme Being" which includes the gods of all religions from Taoism to Hinduism to Islam and to everything in between. According to Masonry, different religions all acknowledge the same god, only they call him by different names. Freemasonry is idolatrous and its worship and prayers are idol worship. The masons may not with their hands have made an idol out of gold, silver, wood or stone, but they created one with their own mind and reason out of purely human thoughts and ideas. The Bible’s view is pretty clear: There is only one God. To worship other gods or to call upon other deities including GAOTU is idolatry. Paul spoke of idolatry as a heinous sin (1 Corinthians 10:14), and John said that idolaters will perish in hell (Revelation 21:8). The sin of idolatry is a serious offense that all freemasons commit. The essence of Masonry requires the swearing of an oath to gods and to principles other than to Jesus which is in direct contradiction with his teachings. Secrecy Christianity is open and has no secrets ("these things were not done in secret"), masons have various levels of secrecy which are unveiled as one moves up to higher levels. For Christians the secrecy practiced by freemasons poses a problem in that secrecy of any kind is destructive of fellowship. The Christian community is an open fellowship. Masonry accepts all religions as valid paths to God. Manly P. Hall wrote that the masonic religion is universal: Christ, Buddha, or Mohammed, the name means little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer. The Name of God Freemasons teach that the name of God is JAHBULON, a composite of 3 names : JAH (the first syllable) represents the name Yahweh or Jehovah, the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. BUL (the second syllable) represents the name Ba’al or Bel. This is the name of the god of Jezebel and Ahab, perhaps the most wicked couple ever to sit on the throne of Israel. ON (the third syllable) represents the name of the Egyptian sun god. The single name JAHBULON is blasphemy as freemasons associate the name of God JAH with 2 pagan satanic deities namely BAAL and ON. Exodus 20:7 You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Jesus Not Seen as God Freemasons omit the name of Jesus when they use biblical texts in their rituals. Similar to the new age teachings, Jesus is just seen as one of many equally wise prophets. Some satanists also believe that another way to steal the life force of a child is by raping him/her. Some might even think its for the good of the child as it can stimulate their pineal gland through the spine and give them ESP. Freemasonry and the New Age New Age Magazine (Official organ of the Scottish Rite) The new age movement was created by freemasonry according to William Cooper. The new age is also universalist like freemasonry and believe all religions lead to the same god which is a sort of universal consciousness. The new age also commit idolatry by worshiping Gaia (Mother nature). No sin exist in their beliefs system, everything is karma and one will pay their mistakes in their next life. They all have a profound rejection of the God of the Bible and its teachings. They believe they could reach higher level of knowledge by channeling their guardian spirits which are in reality demons. While some satanists see the killing of Christians as a blessing for them as they will die as martyrs and go to heaven, the new ager also see it as a blessing for them as it will repay their karmic debts. In the end, the new age is just freemasonry with a different paint. 3 main founders of the new age cult are Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, Alice Bailey and Annie Besant and all 3 were openly satanists.
