The objective is to inform the design of optimal COVID-19 mitigation, relief and recovery measures and public health interventions. Working alongside several partner organizations, Limestone’s contribution to this platform involves modelling economic downturn and recovery scenarios. The model will provide the basis for assessing economic vulnerabilities and resilience based on both the industrial composition and demographic breakdown within communities (with consideration given to key subgroups differentiated by gender, indigeneity, age, education, income, and labour force status).
