STAND WITH ISRAEL Through this program I learned how to communicate my stance on Zionism through social media, body language, and verbally better than before. Before Hasbara Fellowships I was always worried about not knowing enough or how to communicate properly when advocating for Israel, but I now have the tools to excel in my endorsements. I intend to take these skills back to my Israel clubs on campus and continue to be a student leader on campus. Within a span of three days, I was able to hear from a variety of speakers who shared their expertise on social media advocacy, how to be an ally to other groups, as well as many other important topics. It can be tough to talk about such big issues that directly affect the larger Jewish community but learning alongside such well-equipped mentors and passionate students made the experience a truly empowering one. I am looking forward to sharing what I learned from Hasbara with my peers on campus. The Hasbara Fellowships Israel Program offers pro-Israel student leaders an opportunity to gain leadership skills, network with their peers, meet Israelis and Palestinians from all sides of the political spectrum, and travel to strategic locations throughout the country. This exclusive 16-day Israel advocacy training program is a life-changing experience, providing students with the knowledge and firsthand experience to defeat the lies and propaganda that is sweeping across higher education. Hasbara is active on over 95 university campuses across North America and has so far educated over 3,000 students. Don’t Let Them Stand Alone Why We Exist   The modern nation of Israel has been misunderstood and misrepresented throughout its history. From the day it gained its independence in 1948, Israel has been under attack from every direction—military invasion and relentless terrorism, threats of war and propaganda campaigns, missile strikes and economic boycotts. More recently—for reasons that include the historical persecution of the Jewish people and the current rise of prejudice and discrimination around the world—the campuses of colleges and universities have been flooded with anti-Israel propaganda and antisemitism. We cannot allow this to go unchallenged! We must not let the world forget the universal lessons of the Holocaust! Christians and Jews must stand together to defeat antisemitism and defend Israel! Hasbara teaches and empowers pro-Israel college and university student leaders to speak up for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people by offering leadership development opportunities and exclusive, accessible, and interactive advocacy-focused training experiences. Through education and activism, we are working to make college campuses into safe places where Jews and Christians can openly celebrate the Jewish State without fear or exclusion, where universities can define and fight antisemitism in all its forms, and where the entire campus community welcomes and appreciates all students and ideas in support of Israel. Don’t Let Them Stand Alone Get Involved   We cannot allow our Jewish brothers and sisters to stand alone facing the growing antagonism towards Jews and Israel on our college and university campuses. We must stand with them. Our focus is entirely on supporting Israel, standing for the truth about Israel, and combating antisemitism and all efforts to delegitimize or boycott Israel on college campuses and beyond. Hasbara does not take a specific stance on any political issues in Israel. We train our students to think critically and develop their own opinions and views.
