I was oblivious of the subject and there exsistence and truly was scared at first but quickly recovered because of one reason. I was not out in the woods looking for them. My suggestion is to be out and about simply enjoying the outdoors even if you believe there are in the area. Bring some potatoes or some sort of sweets. Leave it somewhere where the critters can’t get to it. Try not to make a big thing out of it as well. Take your family and have a picnic. Be positive and respectful of the woods. I have been fascinated ever since. Where I live in Westminster I have reason to believe there might be some bigfoots in the general area. But no straight forward sighting. However last week while delivering mail in Westminster. I saw a pickup truck marked Sasquatch Research Team. It had Maryland tags. My son had a bigfoot encounter while fishing at one of the many secluded lakes on Grand Mesa about 4 years ago. Saw it from across the lake walking through the trees. I know that when I was a detention Deputy in Fairplay I did see something huge that wasnt anything I have ever seen standing next to 285 near the top of Kenosha pass on my way to work. It seems that from Kenosha to the Buffalo peak and just above Buena Vista around Cottonwood Pass has always been a hotbed. Although I have had certain experiences in other areas , but not as intense as this area I have had two sightings while backpacking and two while stream fishing. At first I was frightened but now I am constantly looking and seeking evidence. I hope 0ne day there will be a law such as Washington states in Colorado NO HUNTING. I have never felt threatened even when I know I startled them. However several bear encounters I”ve had over the years literally left me up a tree. I would like to share the following point of view about this phenomena that intrigue us and fascinate us to all of us: Since researchers have not caught, killed, or rarely even sighted a Bigfoot after many, many years of unsuccessfully searching using guns, gadgets, and call blasting, they would have figured it out that the Sasquatch are an interdimensional people and not just a clever animal. It remains obvious that there nature people possess some psychic abilities that have allowed them to stay hidden from us for so long. Not only do we need to change our outmoded field methodology, but we need to shift from the way we think, to perceive living nature as an integral part of us, not something separate, frightening, and wild. Holistically and spiritually, they are us and we are them in the Great Oneness of an interconnected universe. They are without a doubt a higher form of human living inside hairy bodies. They are unique with a huge capacity to love and socially interact with Homo Sapiens if we let them; if only we would stop the immature behavior of monster-hunting. Like attracts like; opposites repel! Sasquatches will throw out “fear” to hunters and hikers in the forest, when they have their family nearby and don’t want anyone in the area. The intruders merely have an overwhelming feeling of doom and they quickly leave the area. This is a haunting feeling that numerous witnesses have described. These beings are nature’s cosmic contradiction, a beautiful anomaly of sensitive humanity living inside an animal-like body’ an anthropological wonder roaming our planet while constantly avoiding the deadly, dominant race of spoilers that we have chosen to become. We must stop being so anthropocentric, so racially prejudiced first for which White European-Americans are historically infamous. Our society teaches more of material values emphasizing the accumulation of wealth, which has put our culture out of balance with nature. We have become spiritually bankrupt in many ways. Where’s the compassion, our feelings, our caring and altruism? They are people and want the world to know the truth of who they really are but we are not ready yet. There are no monsters out there, except for misbehaving people who lack spiritual awareness. There must be a major “portal” or vortex leading to another dimension where the chupacabras and other cryptids enter and exit our world. I am curious, yet I do agree people would go look to find it, and hurt it. I have my own opinion. They can find things thousands or billions of years of stuff…….yet there is nothing about this thing. I feel for it, and if it needs to stay away. I talked to another person who think they could be an alien…..we do not know. I would not want someone or people to find it because they would kill it , dissect or God only people would do. They would run tests on it like they have done on anything monkeys….ect. It’s near the end when Matt Moneymaker says “Look at those white oaks!”. If you look closely when they film the woods something in the background moves from left to right. It seems to be turning and walking away. I cannot explain what it is. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this. For over 30 yrs I have been interested in bigfoot stories, legends, sighting, television programs, research organization and etc. I have followed some sighting reports in the Colorado state….as recently as the one in Estes Park, CO. I have never told anyone, for fear as being labeled as a “wacko”…since I was still in the U.S. Army at the time of my sighting. It was about October of 1982, when I first saw, what I truly believe, bigfoot. I was hunting bear and elk in the Battle Mountain area, of Medicine Bow Forest, Wyoming, NE of Craig, CO and SE of Rawlings, WY. I was stationed in Cheyenne, WY, as an Army Recruiter, at the time. At first I smelled an awful stench….unlike I have ever smelled before. The forest was dark, even though it was nearly noon. I was on a knoll…over looking some area down below. I glassed the forest and saw a creature, unlike I have ever seen before. I estimated he was about a good 7 feet tall, hairy (dark brown), and what I remember the most was his cold staring look at me. I could feel him/her looking right through me. His eyes gave me the goose bumps and even though I was a combat vet and an excellent shot with my rifle, I still decided to evacuate the area. If I wanted to, I could have shot him, but decided not to. I was a high ranking sergeant in the Army at the time. If I had reported this…it might have effected my promotion status. I have since retired from the Army in 1989. Anyway…if there is a chance to be part of your organization….or help out…I would be interested.
