Do you believe the Moon is grey or filled with colors that we can't see that well from Earth? static.boredpanda.com... hiddenNZ posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 12:52 AM link The colour is..... Yawn. Peeple posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 01:32 AM link a reply to: BADNEPTUNE I would say it's white. What is white? A combination of all the colours. So in my opinion those dust particles have all colours and mix together on a small scale so we see them as white. JugHead posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 01:50 AM link a reply to: BADNEPTUNE I'm still not sure the moon is really real. I saw some video of a guy who took his camera and got closer to the sun with it than he did to the stop sign across a field from him. Oldtimer2 posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 03:04 AM link a reply to: BADNEPTUNE From all the footage I have seen from amatuer astronomers the moon has as many colors as earth does, and a crystal like covering Parishna posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 03:18 AM link What colour is it at night? What colour is it during the day? I'm sure it is varied, but it would depend on when you see it, and not via telescope or B&W photographs. Many elements are many colours. I'd imagine it would be as different there as things are here, under varying circumstances. Ayres Rock for example, over the course of a single day. OneBigMonkeyToo posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 03:57 AM link It entirely depends on lighting conditions. MerkabaTribeEntity posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 07:08 AM link My best guess would be titanium-white - Info Fun fact; Titanium Dioxide is the compound which makes things white (plastics, toothpaste, paints and so forth) Kandinsky posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 07:36 AM link a reply to: BADNEPTUNE The consensus is the Moon has some subtle hues hiding out amidst all the grey. I've pulled three examples to show them off: This is from a raw image (link to image source) and the colours saturated using Lightroom. I can already hear the cries of "CGI! Photoshop! Fakey fake!" To counter it here's a 1967 illustration (no photoshop or Lightroom back then) showing similar colours: Mike Oates' website Here's a NASA example. LSU2018 posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 11:39 AM link a reply to: BADNEPTUNE Nice. I'd imagine it would probably be more colorful if it had an ozone layer surrounding it. Having said that, imagine what Earth would look like if meteorites didn't burn up in the atmosphere on their way in. Were we able to survive without one, we'd have craters everywhere and fear for our lives every time a meteor shower came through. Oh, the color... It looks light brown, grey, and bluish. Loved the high res shot that allowed me to zero in. Anytime in the past when I thought about the moon, I always felt like a visit there would be like looking through a black and white camera. LSU2018 posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 11:47 AM link You can view the moon in Google Maps, too. I'd imagine this has been talked about before, but what the hey is this? I just found it while browsing around up there. Various Apollo astronauts have described browns, bluish-grey, green and purple, but it is very much dependent on the sun angle. Under full illumination it becomes more difficult to distinguish the colours apart from grey. humanoidlord posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 02:13 PM link a reply to: OneBigMonkeyToo thanks! thats what i was thinking CX posted on Oct, 20 2018 @ 02:57 PM link It's this colour....
