He was found throwing things over the fence at the White House and taken into custody by Secret Service agents. Police say he drove his car to Boise then took a flight to Washington, D.C.But before he did any of that, he sent KHQ a letter that contained a flash drive filled with strange pictures and conspiracy theories. In a 30+ pages manifesto, Odom wrote that the man he shot, Pastor Tim Remington, was "a martian" and a "member of an ancient civilization from Mars."Odom, a former Marine and University of Idaho graduate, also wrote a list of more than 70 other noteworthy martians. The list was comprised of local and national religious leaders, politicians, and others including Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi, Patty Murray, Mitch McConnell and "every single Prime Minister since 1948."This is the beginning of the Manifesto:My StorySpring 2014- Moscow, IDEverything started while I was at University of Idaho. Spring 2014 was my final semester and was taking a heavy course load. I was very stressed due to the intensity of my schedule, so I searched for a way to cope. I discovered meditation, which seemed to help, so it became part of my daily routine. As I learned more about meditation, I became interested in consciousness and our ability to affect it. I kept working on my meditation techniques and began achieving extreme states of consciousness.Odom's Manifesto also contained detailed descriptions about the martians. In one section, titled "Martian Brain and Behavior" he writes "I've observed their behavior for almost a year now. Consequently I've been able to make several deductions about them. The first deduction is based on their primary characteristic, which include: 1. They are hypersexual, 2. They are hyperaggressive, 3. They are fearful and paranoid."He also includes drawings of the martians, and even updated his Facebook profile with a picture of one of the martians just an hour before his arrest. The martians are depicted as amphibian-humanoids."Odom writes that the martians "tried to take me, but they were unable to control my mind. I tried everything to get my life back. I begged, bargained and I threatened. Everything I tried to do was sabotaged. I attempted suicide twice, but they stopped me. My last resort was to take actions that would bring this to the public's attention."He says President Obama is aware that martians are taking control of people's minds, but does not appear to imply that the President is actually being controlled by a martian. In his manifesto he says that he won't "have time to finish this document. The bible was inspired by Martians, not God. There is no god. They created religion to keep mankind divided."
