Our stay took us to Phoenix, Ft. McDowell and Sedona. We attended the International UFO Congress in Ft. McDowell with Phyllis Galde, publisher of FATE magazine, where we especially enjoyed the presentations on alternate aspects of ufology about related phenomena and subjective experiences. I conducted a good many interviews for various research projects. (Photo: Phyllis Galde and me at our tables at the UFO Congress.)   Of particular note was an excellent talk on interdimensional Bigfoot beings by Kewaunee Lapseritis, who has had a close relationship with them for 35 years. The Bigfoot are highly intelligent and deeply spiritual beings with “unbelievable powers,” said Kewaunee, who lives in a rural area in Washington State. They are not apes or monsters. “The only monsters I know are the ones trying to kill them,” he said, deploring the current trend in “Bigfoot hunting” to “bag” a specimen.   There are four races of Bigfoot in North America and possibly as many as 16 on the planet, all of whom were on Earth before humans, he said. They are extremely careful about the humans they contact. They can be invisible presences, and they communicate via telepathy.   I had a chance to have an in-depth interview with Kewaunee, whose experiences and knowledge confirmed my own beliefs about Bigfoot as intelligent, interdimensional beings. Kewaunee said his Bigfoot contacts use various interdimensional portals, and they told him they would take him across to their realm soon for a visit. That’s a story I don’t want to miss!   I highly recommend Kewaunee’s books, The Psychic Sasquatch and The Sasquatch People and Their Interdimensional Connection. I discuss his views in my West Virginia Monsters book.   Another fascinating talk was given by Mike Clelland, who has been researching the connection between real owls, ETs and UFOs. ET contactees and abductees report seeing owls at the onset of their experiences, and witnesses of mystery lights and craft also have oddly synchronous encounters with owls. The reasons behind the connection remain a mystery, but Mike has put together an intriguing perspective. See his blog here.    While we were at the congress, I made an appearance on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory to talk about my book Dream Message from the Afterlife. The next day, George and his producer, Tom Danheiser, were at the congress, and we caught up over dinner at the banquet. In Sedona, we spent several days with our friends Richard and Roberta Sutphen and enjoyed the red rock beauty of the area. Richard regressed both Joe and me into past lives. We did individual sessions, and neither of us knew what the other experienced until we compared notes. We were quite astonished to discover that both of us spontaneously went to lives in exactly the same time period and place, the 1920s-30s in New York City.  In our regressions, we did not know each other, but it is possible that our paths might have crossed. For both of us, the lifetimes then was significant. (Photo: L to R, Joe, me, Roberta Sutphen and Richard Sutphen with the van Etten crystal skulls, see below.)   A trip to Sedona would not be complete without a visit to Clarkdale to attend the weekly crystal skull meditation conducted by Jaap van Etten and his wife, Jeanne Michaels. The group meditates around a medicine wheel made of about 200 skulls of varying sizes and compositions. The focus for the night was on the famous Mitchell-Hedges skull and love. We also added another three skulls to our personal collection, all “relics” energized by the skull Synergy. Check out Jaap's website, Lemurantis, here.  (Photo: Jaap and me.)   We also caught up with fellow researcher and author David Weatherly and his wife, Theresa, and compared notes on our ongoing research on the Djinn, Black-Eyed Children, and other strange beings.   We ended our trip with a fairy workshop that I gave at Mystic Mporium in Phoenix, and returned home to piles of frozen snow and ice in Connecticut. We sent February off with a dinner and black mirror scrying workshop hosted by Krys Korsenzko in Stratford, CT. Black mirrors will be big events for me again this year as I give workshops on them around the country, culminating with my annual Necromanteum in Salem right before Halloween.   At the end of March we take off for England, where I have some Djinn lecture events and other research, mixed with R and R with old friends. From then on, the rest of the year goes full tilt! ________________      DJINN LECTURE IN LONDON AND COVER INTERVIEW IN KINDRED SPIRIT   On April 1 I return to the College of Psychic Studies in London, where I have presented in the past, to present a special lecture program on the Djinn and their role in paranormal experiences, hauntings, and ET abductions. For information and to book tickets, click here.   Copies of The Djinn Connection will be available in the college bookstore.   Coinciding with my trip is my interview cover story in Kindred Spirit, one of the leading publications covering esoteric and paranormal topics.  I was interviewed by one of the magazine's editors, Tania Ahsan, for the article, "Angel, Alien or Djinn? Encountering Entities." _______________   IS EVERYTHING PARANORMAL CAUSED BY DJINN?   My research on the Djinn has uncovered their presence in every paranormal experience and all phenomena, from hauntings to attachments to alien abductions. The Djinn are superior shape-shifters and can easily masquerade as entities for which we have given other names. Does this mean that everything "out there" is Djinn?   I do not believe that to be the case. On one hand, I have interviewed numerous sources, including Muslim experts, who hold that the Djinn are behind all things supernatural. And, I have often remarked to fellow investigators that there is so much evidence of the Djinn that it could easily seem they are responsible for the whole paranormal show.   However -- as I stated in The Djinn Connection, and as I have repeated in numerous interviews -- I am not able to make that leap myself. The Djinn are indeed everywhere, and sometimes they are quite well hidden and disguised. But I also believe there are other kinds of beings as well: angels, a host beings who interdimensionally share the planet with us, and off-world beings.   No one has the definitive answer to the question of just how much the Djinn account for our paranormal experiences. Researchers should take Djinn into consideration in their analyses, be open-minded, and follow where the evidence leads. _______________   INTERNATIONAL ANGEL CONFERENCE COMING TO FLORIDA   Heads up! If you love angels... want to have a deeper connection to them... are curious about them... save your Labor Day weekend for a spectatcular angel event in Lake Buena Vista, FL.  I will be presenting and will have other activities, including a panel and a booksigning. Details coming soon! I'm very excited about it, as it's been some time since a large angel conference has been held in the US. I am at work on a new book about angels, which will be ready in time for the event. (Art: Robert M. Visionary Living, Inc.   [This article can be reposted. Please include the byline and copyright information, and a link to www.visionaryliving.com.]   Houses can become haunted for many reasons. They do not have to be old – brand new houses can be haunted. No deaths are required for hauntings, either. The following are nine reasons why haunting activity lodges in a house, along with some of the remedies that can be applied to relieve the situation. No two situations are alike, and experimentation may be required to find the right remedies.   1.  Residues The living leave behind residues of energy when they die, which, if strong enough, coalesce into imprints of images, sounds, smells and minor movement. Intense emotion generated by life events – great happiness, great sadness, tragedy and so on – creates and energizes residues, which are experienced as ghosts and haunting phenomena: apparitions, footsteps, tapping, knocks, distinctive smells, cool breezes, and so on.  Residues can last for centuries but they do fade over time, which is why some famous hauntings from centuries past no longer are experienced.   Remedies: 1. Environmental cleansing with incense, sage, crystals and white light. 2. Invocation of spiritual help (angels, guides) to seal a protective sacred space. 3. Use of feng shui to alter subtle energy. 4. Renovation, redecoration, and rearrangement.   2. Deaths Houses can be haunted without having had anyone die in them, but death, especially tragic, can impart powerful residual energy. Accidents, crimes, natural disasters and painful, lingering illness may leave scars on the psychic landscape.   Remedies: 1. Residual remedies as above. 2. Prayers to help the dead be at peace.   3. Earthbound souls Some people do not make an immediate transition to the afterlife, but linger for a while in a twilight between the worlds of the living and dead.  Earthbound conditions can happen in sudden, unexpected death, in which the dead are temporarily lost or confused. Sometimes the individuals choose to be earthbound because of an attachment to a life or place, fear of the afterlife, or desire to complete unfinished business.   Remedies: Establish communication and assist the completion of the transition to the afterlife. Some psychics and mediums specialize in releasement.   4. Burial sites Houses built on old burial grounds can be haunted. The basis for this seems to be the long-held tradition that the dead do not like their resting places disturbed. These kinds of hauntings may be more active, with poltergeist effects such as loud noises, unpleasant smells, shadow figures, and the moving and breaking of objects.   Remedies: Depending on how the land has been altered, it may not be possible to relocate graves. 1. Reconsecrate the site and honor the dead with prayer and ritual. 2. Environmental cleansing.   5. Energized land Sometimes the land itself holds an energy that enables or facilitates haunting activity. The presence of underground streams, tunnels, caves, old mines, and certain minerals and metals can act as batteries for phenomena, keeping residues alive. Earth energies can create interdimensional portals as well. The earth is populated with a variety of beings who find certain places agreeable for transit or occupation. For example, fairy lore is full of accounts of people who built on land “owned” by the fairies, who were not pleased, and created all manner of haunting phenomena. I see many cases like this today.   Remedies: 1. Realignment of energy lines via dowsing. 2. Striking of an agreement with resident beings. 3. Relocation.   6. Occult activity Certain kinds of occult activity, such as spell-casting, spirit conjuring and spirit communication, invites spirits to enter a place. Sometimes they do not leave, either because they were not sent away properly and the door between world closed, or the summoners lost control. Such spirits can linger in a place and bother old and new occupants. Ritual activity also creates thoughtform residues that add to hauntings.   Remedies: 1. Environmental cleansing. 2. House exorcism of unwanted presences. 3. Cessation of activity that invites the presences. 4. Removal of ritual objects.   7. Spirit attachments Spirits can ride into a house on an object, such as a second-hand item. If conditions are right, the spirits anchor in and start haunting the place.   Remedies: 1. Removal of object. 2. House exorcism if necessary. 3. Energy healing/spirit detachment for affected persons.   8. Curses and Psychic Attacks Sometimes a place can be affected by a powerful curse or psychic attack launched by an individual.  Curses and psychic attacks are usually aimed at people, but the effects can spill over into the environment, affecting everyone on the property. Sometimes these assaults are aimed at places in order to bring discomfort to anyone living there.   Remedies: 1. Exorcisms of house and affected people. 2. Environmental cleansings. 3. Securing help to break the psychic connection and end the curse or attack. 4. Removal of “Trojan horse” objects, such as cursed gifts. 5. Energy healing/spirit detachment for affected persons.   9. Possession Individuals may become possessed by negative spirits under certain circumstances, such as inappropriate occult activity, addictions, and other factors. Phenomena can spread out into the environment, creating unpleasant and even hazardous experiences for others.   Remedies: 1. Religious and medical assistance. 2. Exorcisms and environmental cleansings. 3. Energy healing/spirit detachment.   Additions to the list? Q: I recently found out that I'm psychic and I'm preparing to learn more about it. I have always been sensitive and had the ability to talk to ghosts, but I wasn't sure if it was anything more than that. I can't see auras or anything, but I've started seeing flashes and images when I move my eyes and a pull similar to how I draw a spirit near, but it's pulling me instead. Do you have any advice? I'm nervous….I've seen some terrifying things before and it's a door I'm apprehensive to open again. -- J. A: There is no room for fear in psychic work. Anxiety is natural in the beginning, but it must be overcome if you are going to function well. Study and training are required to learn the ropes. You need to understand what the psychic faculty is, how it functions, and especially how it works for you individually. Classes in psychic and intuitive development, mediumship, and energy healing will help you gain confidence in your ability.  You will learn how to open up, experience and validate, and shut down so that you are not adversely affected. Study the literature on the paranormal, occult and metaphysical.  You have to know what's out there, how thoughts and emotions can be picked up, and so on. Most important of all, establish a daily practice of meditation. It will build your spiritual muscle and open contact with the spiritual helpers who will be your allies. Once you have a footing, you should be able to handle what you encounter without fear. The unseen realms feature the good, the bad and the ugly. With the proper training, you can keep the upper hand in all situations.   WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WEREWOLVES AND DOGMEN?   Q: Is a dogman the same thing as a werewolf? I'm confused by these terms. -- Gary C.     A: There is a difference between the two. When people say they saw a "werewolf" in the woods, they probably meant a dogman. "Dogmen" refers to beings whose appearance is a combination of dog or wolf and human parts, such as a human torso, wolf head, human forearms with wolf paws, and wolf hind legs. The famous "Beast of Bray Road" seen in Wisconsin and Michigan is an example of this. (See illustration below by Linda S. Godfrey.)   Most mysterious creatures similar to this description fall into the "dogmen" category. Such beings have been described since ancient times. Dog-headed men appear in ancient literature in India, Somalia, the Andaman Islands and elsewhere, and in the apochryphal literature of the apostles and saints.    Werewolves are shape-shifters -- humans who transform into wolves and then change back into human form. The change is caused by a variety of reasons, such as spells, curses and magic. While in wolf form, they may wreak havoc and consume raw flesh, including human. In medieval legends of people cursed to be werewolves, they did not go marauding sprees. Those accounts became prevalent in the 15th and 16th centuries during witchcraft fears and trials in Europe. Modern pop culture has emphasized the monster-run-amok aspects of werewolves.   More information about both can be found in my Encyclopedia of Vampires & Werewolves. _______________    MEDIA NEWS    PUBLICATION SALE FOR THE BIG BOOK OF WEST VIRGINIA GHOST STORIES   Celebrate the publication of my latest book, The Big Book of West Virginia Ghost Stories, with an autographed hardcover copy at 20 percent off, now through the end of March at my website shop.
