I say this, because as an engineer in my long career before retirement, I’ve tried to explain the other ‘irrefutable proofs’ that PROVE ‘flat earth’ is a lie (such as the Coriolis Effect), and you get this ‘glazed deer-in-the-headlights look from those who merely ‘spew what they’ve heard’, and don’t have a clue about the science that says ‘such a structure CAN NOT EXIST!. Snipers use knowledge of the Coriolis Effect to offset ‘planetary spherical spin’ (which would NOT work as it does if the planet were a ‘plate’). Great Circle routes (used by ships and airplanes) would not be required (or would function totally differently) if the planet were flat instead of spherical. You could not have a ‘lunar orbit’ if the planet were a plate, either…as ‘decaying eccentricity’ would eventually lead to the moon orbiting right at the edge of the plate, leaving you with NEVER seeing the moon (New Moon, perpetually)…stop buying into Deep State testing to see how great of a simpleton you are!
A few other ‘common sense’ points that ‘flat earth supporters’ never consider:
You can travel only 1/2 the Earth’s circumference towards the North, or South, before you start traveling in the opposite direction (without changing course)…yet you can travel East or West FOREVER, and you still are headed East or West. That is a ‘ball’, not a flat plate.
If you are standing in New York City, you know two things…there is the Atlantic Ocean to your East, and that Britain is East of that…BUT, if you travel about 10,000 miles West, you arrive in Beijing, China…OR, if you travel around 15,000 miles East, you arrive in Beijing, China…yet there is only one Beijing, China in the world…so, envisioning your ‘flat earth’, draw a map with 100 major cities, where the map MATCHES the distances between each and every city. YOU CANNOT DO IT…and it is for this ONE REASON that NO ONE has EVER drawn such a map!!! They’ll show you artwork, they’ll show you cool domes and trippy graphics…but show me a map I can navigate by, and THE ONLY WAY you can do this is to do so on a Sphere (or a projection map…where the sphere has been projected onto a flat document)…
From that logic it makes sense going from east to west or vice versa, and the traveler will reach the departure point if it goes around a globe, as also if the traveler goes in circle around a flat-surface. Going around a flat-surface on such a large surface as “the earth” while thinking of going “straight around a globe” is possible because the orientation of the traveler comes from observations of stars, which could be circling around, and the same traveler uses a compass.
Then there is the question of “going in circle around the globe while passing through both poles”. Nobody has proven to have done that.
Then there a savants astronomers who have stated that their calculations around both a geocentric or heliocentric could be correct according to their own postulate.
Lastly, since no one has credibly gone into space, and the “antarctic continent” is off limit to the commoners, it is reasonable to suspect an accord made between hostile to “hide something”. Remember that the Antarctic Treaty was made during the cold war. We drill petrol everywhere, even in the arctic, and rival nations made an accord to “keep pristine an entire continent in order to save the penguins”. This make sense to suspect a cover-up, just as the “International Space Station” made between rival nations.
Then there are some unanswered questions from the part of the “the earth rotated around the sun crowd”. Why is it that at noon, the sun being straight up in the sky, then at noon six months later, the sun is still straight up in the sky? If the earth rotates around the sun, six months later, “noon” should become “midnight”.
And then an other unanswered question. During night, and only during the night, because in the daytime, the sun light blinds and other “half” of the visible universe, one may see stars and constellations, logically, six months later, since the sunlight is supposed to stand “behind”, then one should be able to observe “the other half” of the universe. Why can we only observe “one sky only” (with negligible variations according to the seasons)?
