Letter of Recommendation

Ask the difficult questions, and you will find faith.

A) The State of Israel is subject to a major campaign of delegitimization throughout the world. The absence of a universal message of the Torah of Israel and the State of Israel, is extremely problematic. 

b) Many nations in the world identify themselves as "Noahides", that is, they observe the 7 mitzvot of the sons of Noah out of faith in Judaism while receiving guidance from rabbis in Israel, as well as maintaining a lifestyle that draws from Judaism.

c) The organization "Brit Olam - Noahide world center" is in contact with many Noahides, and provides an active response to about 36 communities of Bnei Noah in the entire world. This enterprise received the encouragement of important rabbis, including The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yona Metzger Shalita, and the first Rabbi of Zion Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu ztzel.

In my capacity as the Deputy Minister of Religions, and on behalf of the Ministry of Religions, I am turning to you, Honorable Deputy Minister, with a request to provide support to Noahides and the aforementioned communities around the world.

I suggest and request the following steps:

1. A circular from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the request of the Ministry of Religion, to all employees of the Ministry. And to all the communities, regarding the granting of respite and support to the Bnei Noah communities, and encouraging the activity of the Jewish communities in the matter.

2. Establishment of a system to treat these communities within the framework of the ministry, in cooperation with Brit Olam.

Letter of Recommendation

I have heard from my dear and honorable friend, a man of great wisdom, a man of many actions, Rabbi Menachem Borstein Shalita, about the public gathering that you are holding for the  reception of the seven mitzvot of Bnei Noah.

Adam was commanded 6 commandments and Noah was commanded on the seventh commandment, together referred to as the: "Seven commandments of the sons of Noah" which are: 1) The Prohibition Against Idolatry in all Forms. 2) The Prohibition Against Blasphemy. 3) The Prohibition Against Murder. 4) The Prohibition Against Theft. 5)  The Prohibition Against Sexual Immorality. 6) The Prohibition Against Eating the Limbs of a Living Animal. 7)The Commandment to Establish Courts of Justice.

We have seen that these commandments of Noah's sons begin with the creation of the world. In fact, these are the rules of the mitzvot, and their details are found in Rambam,Kings 1, chapter seven.

Rambam added and wrote at the end of chapter eight, "Anyone who accepts seven mitzvot and is careful to do them is one of the Righteous Gentiles and has a share in the world to come, and is called a sage. All the above refers to he who accepts the mitzvot and does them because God commanded them in the Torah, as we were informed by Moses that Noah's sons were commanded to do them. However, if one fulfills them because of intellectual conviction, he is neither a resident alien nor of ‘the pious among the gentiles.’ 

It is wise that you have gathered to publish these mitzvots and accept them upon you. By doing so you will further educate and teach the whole world to observe these 7 mitzvots in detail.

Your gathering is by the grace of God, may His name be exalted. In recent times God has been awakening the people of Israel and the people of the world to thirst for the knowledge of God alone and to believe in His divinity, may His name be exalted, that He is the Creator of all. And this is a sign "to fill the earth with the knowledge of God".

I bless you that God's will in your hands will be successful and whatever you turn to do you shall succeed, may God be with you. May you be blessed with wealth and happiness, blessing and success - spiritually and physically.

I was happy to hear about the important activity of you organization , that strives to support people
of the nations of the world who believe in the word of Hashem, and who have accepted upon
themselves to observe the seven Noahide commandments.
These seven mitzvot form the foundation for the betterment of human society and I see how much
the world is ready for such a correction. And Maimonides wrote in his code of law: “He who accepts
the seven commandments and strives to observe them is considered of the righteous of the nations
and merits a share in the world to come

I received the material that you have issued for the Noahides, who are common nowadays in about eighty countries around the world.

There is no doubt that your initiative is welcome and important. With the return of the people of Israel to their land, there is an awakening among honest-hearted people from the nations of the world, to recognize and cherish the people of Israel, with the virtue that they received Torah from the Creator of the world. And by this to know and believe in the God of Israel who is the king of the world.

Great blessings to you and to all those who support and are engaged in spreading the light of the Torah among all mankind.

May you grow and be successful in spreading the light of Torah, and continuing the path of Abraham our patriarch. until we have the privilege that the whole world will know and understand that the God of Israel is king and his kingdom is in all its glory. May the prophet's words be fulfilled: "And the Lord will be king over all the earth on that day. The Lord will be one and his name will be one."

My heart is full of joy and I am full of appreciation for the blessed activity of the great Rabbi Uri Sharki among the nations, to uphold David's statement "Honorable Gentiles". Many of the nations of the world turn to the rabbis of Israel to receive spiritual and halachic guidance, and believe in the Torah of Moses wholeheartedly.

In order to provide an answer to all the applicants from the nations of the world, Rabbi Uri Sharki founded the organization "Brit Olam - the Noahide world center", which operates under the authority of the great Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu (of blessed memory), and with the blessing of Rabbi Yona Metzger. The center guides Rabbis of communities around the world to open a training course for Noahides, which also includes the possibility of being accepted as a Noahide before a court of law, according to what is explained in the Laws of Kings to Rambam, Chapter 10, Halacha 10.

I hereby call out to all Rabbi’s, to be in contact with Rabbi Uri Sharki and to cooperate with the organization he heads. That way we shall be honored by having God reign over the whole earth and all the inhabitants of the earth will know the God of Israel. As has been written in  the Bible : "And all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you". And according to the words of Isaiah the prophet "And many peoples will go and say, Go and ascend to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, and let us be guided by his ways and we will walk in his ways, for from Zion the Torah and the word of the Lord will go forth from Jerusalem.

I have seen the siddur for Bnei Noach composed by my important friend the great Rabbi Uri Shark.

At this time when the people of Israel are returning to their land and to their true identity, when almost half of the Jews are already living in the land of their inheritance, the recognition among the nations of the world is growing stronger that God is keeping his covenant with the ancestors. The belief that God manages the world according to his plan and brings redemption to the world through the people of Israel.

We anticipate that the influx of people from all different  nations who want to adhere to the people of Israel will continue to grow, and the people who want to learn from the people of Israel the paths of prayer, will grow stronger. "Thus saith the LORD of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zechariah 8:23)

May this book be an opening for those who come to write the Torah, the laws and the way of the sons of Noah who come to flock to the House of God.

I must give a good recommendation to the Honorable Rabbi Uri Sharki, who has put much effort in to teaching Torah to many, and initiating many enterprises for the benefit of the public. He who has found favor in the eyes of God and man.

Now Rabbi Cherki devotes a lot of his time to his organization "Brit Olam" which works to teach the seven mitzvot of the sons of Noah to and guide many people of all the nations of the world.

These actions have great value, because the more Gentiles choose to accept these mitzvot,  it shall affect the whole world to be in a better state, as was said in the vision of the prophets.

Rabbi Uri has even gone so far as to publish Prayer book suitable for the prayers of those who receive the 7 mitzvot.  For this he deserves a special blessing.

We can only hope that God will help him succeed and bring a blessing to the people of Israel and the whole world.
