New information now on the arrest of the suspect who police say shot a Coeur d'Alene pastor. Investigators say Kyle Odom apparently wrote a bizarre manifesto, saving that Martians controlled the earth. And tonight, we have those documents.

Earlier, police just released Odom's manifesto, its 43 pages long. He introduces himself, explains why he shot Pastor Tim Remington, and includes illustrations of aliens who he says, have shown themselves to him.

Kyle Odom was wanted for the attempted murder on Sunday of a prominent Idaho pastor. Somehow, he was able to board a flight in Boise, the next day and travel more than 2,000 miles to Washington.

"We put a warrant in the system," said CDA Police Chief Lee White. "How somebody with a felony warrant could board an airplane, I'm not the person to answer that question. I'm sorry."

Odom allegedly gunned down 55 year-old Senior Pastor Tim Remington as he walked to his car after Sunday services in Coeur d' Alene. He was shot at least six times in the back and the skull.

"The bullet basically ricocheted in his skull, right above his temple," said Jeremiah Remington, Pastor's son.

The shooting came just one day after Pastor Remington prayed with Republican Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz, after giving the invocation at his weekend campaign rally.

Police beefed up security on Capitol Hill after Odom mailed a rambling manifesto to his family and some news organizations. It mentioned members of Congress by name.

"There's probably maybe a dozen or 15 or so US Senators, along with probably twice that amount from the US House," said Police Chief White.

On his Facebook page, Odom's profile picture appears to be an alien. In an ominous post, he wrote: "Things are not what they appear to be. The world is ruled by an ancient civilization from Mars. I have no time. I have to go."

Secret Service arrested Odom Tuesday when he was throwing things over the White House's fence. He appeared in D.C. Superior Court today (Wednesday) and his public defender says he's fighting extradition to Idaho.

Doctors say Pastor Remington is awake and walking and is expected to leave the hospital later this week.
