Alien Pyramids

Since the late 20th century, conspiracy theorists and fiction and non-fiction writer have claimed and/or supported the idea that the Pyramids of Giza were built by aliens.

The infamous writer Erich von Däniken has played an essential part in bringing about the theory that the Ancient Egyptians were helped by aliens in building the pyramids as he was the one who was responsible for the publication of the book Chariots of the Gods? Unsolved Mysteries of the Past. This book talks about the mysteries behind the construction of the pyramids and how extra-terrestrial life could be involved.

Another famous influence on this theory is Elon Musk who tweeted "Aliens built the pyramids obv" on July 31 2020. This tweet was retweeted more than 84 000 times and the assumption that it was because people agreed can be made for more than half of the retweeters.

However, Egypt's Minister of International Co-operation Rania al-Mashat replied to his tweet, urging him to explore the evidence of the theory by visiting the Pyramids of Giza himself.

"I follow your work with a lot of admiration. I invite you & Space X to explore the writings about how the pyramids were built and also to check out the tombs of the pyramid builders. Mr. Musk, we are waiting for you 🚀."

After the influence of these two people, many people in the world now believe that the pyramids were built by exterrestial life. However, there is not much evidence that this is true and nothing to back up the claims made by these people. Conclusively, these claims are, in short, just claims with not much or no evidence to prove them.
