The Absolute Best Kurt Cobain Conspiracy Theory

There are tons of theories circulating about what really happened to Kurt Cobain, but this theory trumps them all.

As a devout Nirvana fan, I refuse to believe that front-man Kurt Cobain took his own life. The story goes that Cobain was found dead in his Seattle home on April 8th, 1994 after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to the head three days prior. The original police report stated that Cobain killed himself after taking three times the legal dose of heroin in the greenhouse above his garage. Besides just me, many fans reject this story and have crafted detailed conspiracies that could have happened instead. We all know the theory that his wife, Courtney Love, killed him, but certain conspiracy theorists and I have a different take; Cobain is still alive and is actually Weezer front-man Rivers Cuomo.

This theory came about when music lovers started noticing eerily similar facial features between the two musicians. However, the similarities don’t stop there. Here are four reasons why Cobain might be Cuomo:

  1. Weezer formed in 1992, around the same time that Nirvana was having issues. Some think Cobain got the idea for Weezer because he did not see a future in Nirvana.
  2. Weezer tour dates and Nirvana tour dates did not conflict at all, thus giving Cobain/Cuomo plenty of time to take on both roles.
  3. Cuomo has a book of Cobain’s songs that he deconstructs and has a noted obsession of.
  4. Weezer plays small shows under the pseudonym “Goat Punishment.” In these shows, the band only plays Nirvana covers.

These may not be enough to convince some of the non-believers, but as Kurt would so wisely say “Come as you are”… or as you are not.

50 One-Week Challenges to Replace New Years Resolutions

Sick of giving up your New Years Goals after one week?

32962

New Years Resolutions are a tricky thing--most people make them even if they are not written down, but a majority of the population abandons their resolutions after the first week. How crazy is that? People can only keep "self promises" for a week. I do this especially...plan to eat healthy but then after a week I miss ice cream and quickly recede back into bad habits.
