Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., got a laugh out of Donald Trump calling for the release of criminals imprisoned for Jan. 6 violence, whom Trump has dubbed "hostages."

"Why would he want to pardon all these antifa fighters?" Raskin asked Jen Pskai in an Sunday interview on MSNBC as he mocked a baseless right-wing conspiracy theory that the FBI and antifa instigated Jan. 6 violence.

Trump even claimed at an Iowa rally Saturday: "There was antifa and there was FBI ... leading the charge" into the Capitol on Jan. 6.

An early Republican theory claimed Jan. 6 was a "normal tourist visit."

Raskin pointed out that "hundreds and hundreds" of Capitol surveillance videos carefully examined and released by the Republicans have failed to come up with a "single shot" of any FBI agent or antifa fighter.

Raskin also attacked Trump for using the term "hostages" for violent criminals, calling it a "major insult and affront to the families with actual hostages stil being held by Hamas in Gaza right now."
