Hello everyone. I'm meteorologist Peter Sherwood in the WRL severe weather center. We're gonna watch for a few areas of patchy fog this morning. It is not expected to be as thick as it was yesterday morning and we're gonna see some improvements this afternoon is gonna be a mild one with a lot of cloud cover and breezy conditions. Those winds out of the southwest today will help us achieve highs in the upper sixties and lower seventies. Now we are going to warm up ahead of our next front that will bring showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. We can expect some of those storms to be strong to severe. So today we're back to school, we're back to reality that morning commute could be a little foggy out there. But overall today we're heading to 68 degrees. We will be dry for the evening commute. Those clouds will continue to build and it's happening all ahead of this cold front that's moving across the middle of the country associated with it already, some strong to severe thunderstorms moving across Louisiana, moving into Mississippi and we are going to see this front continue to track towards the east. So expect a lot of cloud cover into the afternoon. Some showers will be possible across our north and western counties around midnight. That will spread into some of our northern counties leading into the early morning hours on Wednesday I think for the most part you shouldn't see a lot of impacts for the morning commute on Wednesday across the Triangle but the afternoon and evening commute could become a little bit messy. The actual front is going to be moving through. It's going to bring those showers and thunderstorms into our western counties around two o'clock. And we are going to see some of that move into the Triangle. Once we head into five o'clock, we expect most of those storms to be across the south And east with gradual clearing heading into the evening and night. So here's our level one risk. The main threats will be damaging wind speeds and we cannot rule out an isolated tornado or two high temperatures will be in the 60s. Today, we're talking about highs in the 70s tomorrow. Once we head into the weekend and we're done with all that heavy rain, we will see highs in the 50s with a small chance of a few scattered showers.
