IFR WINGS Course
Flight Service is pleased to announce the launch of a new IFR WINGS course by the FAA that’s designed to truly fill in the gap between pilots and their comfort with weather. The course, Conducting Preflight Self-Briefings for IFR Pilots, primarily consists of scenario-based training designed to put you in plausible scenarios where the correct “Go/No-Go” answer isn’t always immediately clear. This is an excellent tool for CFI’s, CFII’s, IFR Students, or ANY pilot looking for a refresher. This course is worth your time.

Call Director System Upgrade
On 06/08/2022, Leidos Flight Service will release an update to the automated call director system that will provide pilots with an improved experience by using their area code to route their call to the correct state and subsequent briefing sector.

Legacy & Locations Briefing Removal
In an effort to streamline and continually improve our services, Leidos Flight Service will no longer support the Locations Briefing tool or the "Old" interactive briefing version as of June 2022. Both features are currently located on the "Plan & Brief" tab.
